Nigeria’s First Lady, Remi Tinubu Urges Women to Participate Actively in Politics

Nigeria’s first lady, Oluremi Tinubu has called on women in the country to grow beyond kitchen duties and wake up to the responsibility of training their wards and actively participating in governance.

In a statement at the Imo state women’s celebration, stating that women have a generational role to play in sustaining democracy and developing the nation through welfare and partnership with leaders at all levels.

On her part, Wife of Imo state Governor, Chioma Uzodinma says women must assist the government in policy execution, security and welfare by collaborating with government to ensure implementation of agenda and plans on the local front.

Meanwhile, the Governor of the state, Hope Uzodinma charged women in the state to cooperate with the government in working out political presence for women through active participation in governance.
