The Spanish football federation has vowed to take legal action over Jenni Hermoso’s comments about its president Luis Rubiales, insisting that she lied.
Rubiales has refused to resign after kissing forward Hermoso on the lips following Spain’s Women’s World Cup final win over England in Sydney, noting that the act was consensual.
But Hermoso insists she did not consent, but the federation has questioned her version of events.
In its statement, the federation published three photos and claimed they showed that Hermoso had lifted Rubiales up during a hug, meaning that the federation boss “could not exert any force.”
However, the photos were seemingly taken before Rubiales kissed Hermoso on the lips.
