President Bola Tinubu says his administration will fill the vacancies in Supreme Court, while promising to conclude a thorough review of the remuneration templates of judicial officers in the country.

Tinubu said this during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), led by Yakubu Maikyau (SAN), noting that the battle against corruption necessitates a comprehensive review of the salaries and allowances of judicial officers.

According to him, if judicial officers are well rewarded with handsome salaries and handsome welfare packages, cases of miscarriage of judgement for personal benefit will be eradicated.

He also stated that his landmark success in reforming justice administration in Lagos State was due to such policies, which he expressed confidence will be implemented speedily.

The president further acknowledged the importance of addressing the current vacancies within the Supreme Court, affirming that these vacancies represent obligations that must be fulfilled based on recommendations put forth by the National Judicial Council (NJC).
