prominent sports journalist Osazu Obayiuwana has slammed nbbfonline over the treatment of an athlete, he said

Dear #Nigeria, even during my intercontinental flight to London, from #Sydney, to hear nonsense and total rubbish about Nigerian sports governance no dey finish.

I have just received this, as also heard by @ColinUdoh, as to how @nbbfonline have appallingly treated Kaodirichi Akobundu-Ehiogu, a member of the national team, who came to Nigeria for the ill-fated @Olympics qualifiers. This was written by a fellow national team player. I am publishing it unredacted:

“One of our players, Kaodirichi, was in the process of getting his US passport issued, so he initially declined the request to come and play for the team. The GM of the team Musa Adamu/ federation insisted that if he showed up they would be able to get him on a flight back to the US no problem. Kao then agreed to show up.

“Fast forward to August 21, the day of departure for all players, after being forced to remain at the hotel for an extra week with no allowance…

“Kao arrived at the airport with no instruction of how to proceed from anybody in the federation or Musa. He called Musa a numerous amount of times to no avail.

“He’s now stuck at the airport and in Nigeria for who knows how long. This is extreme negligence by the federation!!!

“No personnel present to handle any situations that may arise while players are at the airport. Everyday it reaches a new low. I’m only speaking to bring awareness to this, because we always hear about the unpaid debts but there is so much that happens in between that never gets talked about.

“Being responsible doesn’t cost a cent. There’s no excuse for not caring about the players. That doesn’t cost a dime!!!!”

What kind or crap is this, @nbbfonline?

Nigerians, what do you have to say about this mess?

I have always said it… Between @thenff and the NBBF, it’s a neck-to-neck sprint finish for the title of “worst sports federation in Nigeria.”

I still have 10 hours of flying to go, abeg… Nigeria no go kill person. Joro jara jo, joro jara jo… 🤨😡🚶🏾‍♂️🚶🏾‍♂️🚶🏾‍♂️
