Seven Opposition Parties in South Africa under the banner of the Multi-Party Convention have agreed to work as a coalition to oust the African National Congress, led by President Cyril Ramaphosa in 2024 polls.

This followed a two day meeting and months of negotiations in which leaders of the parties say would help revive South Africa.

Adding his voice to the Agreement, Head of the United Independent Movement, Neil de Beer, urged other parties to ensure that they muster all efforts in making sure that the ANC is removed from power, claiming that the country is being misgoverned.

While the radical left wing, EFF is not part of the coalition, the ANC which has governed since 1994 risks losing a majority in parliament, having fell below the 50 percent mark for the first time in local elections in 2021.
