Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the 2023 elections, Atiku Abubakar has hailed the efforts of the police to arrest and foil a possible attack on his Yola residence, by suspected Boko Haram terrorists.
A statement from Abubakar’s media office explained that a 29 year-old man, Jubrila Mohammed was caught while trying to confirm the residence of the former Vice President, was apprehended by security operatives and handed over to the police.
Mohammed subsequently admitted that he was a Boko Haram member from Damboa in Borno State and was working alongside three others who were planning to attack other establishments belonging to Abubakar.
Commending the police for their, the statement noted that all four suspects have been captured while investigation about their intent is ongoing.
