
Governor Siminalayi Fubara has hinted on providing more vehicles soon to assist the Police in fighting crime in Rivers state
Fubara who disclosed this to the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police, Zone 16, Ben Okolo, who paid a visit to the governor, said the gesture was in response to complaints of shortage of vehicles by the Rivers State Police Command.
The governor said the police command in the state had indicated a shortage of vehicles, promising to ease the mobility of the force to aid their fight against crime.
Fubara also promised to concentrate on the welfare of the people while collaboration with relevant stakeholders in areas necessary.
In his response, AIG Okolo assured the state governor of maximum cooperation in combating crime in the state.
