An American National has been detained in North Korea after crossing the border from South Korea.
The United Nations Command explained that the unnamed man crossed the border into the North without authorization and is now in North Korean custody.
US officials have however confirmed that the man is a US solider, but did not immediately provide further details.
The incident comes as both North Korea and South Korea are officially still at war, with reconciliation talks stalled.
