Fans of Kunle Afolayan’s Anikulapo can now look forward to the Sequel tagged Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre following completion of its production.
The filmmaker took to social media to share news alongside cast crew sharing the excitement of the feat.
The series is a sequel to the award-winning 2022 movie, written by Sola Dada, who wrote the initial feature.
Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre which features familiar faces from the original cast like Bimbo Ademoye, and Sola Sobowale as well as new additions, Lateef Adedimeji and Gabriel Afolayan, explores the concept of reincarnation and the idea that souls are connected across lifetimes.
The series comes after the success of Anikulapo, which ranked number 1 globally on Netflix with 8.7million views in less than 2 weeks.
