URGENT CALL FOR DISSOLUTION OF ONDO STATE CABINET
Let me start first by committing our beloved Governor Rotimi AKEREDOLU to the hand of God Almighty to stretch His BALM OF GILEAD to him for healing. By the special grace of God, AKEREDOLU will bounce back. He will live and not die.
I consider that it is not right or rather let me say it is not in the interest of the Ondo State people, that the wheel of governance should grind to a halt simply because of ill-health of a governor. It’s a natural thing which can happen to anybody.
In the larger interest of the people of Ondo State, Acting Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa should immediately dissolve the Ondo State cabinet so that proper governance should not suffer.
The Constitution and the law already recognizes Lucky as Governor pending the Governor’s resumption which he has put indefinitely
So what happens if the Governor does not resume in 6 months and meanwhile, none of the Commissioners, neither the SSG nor Chief of Staff is reporting to the acting Governor?
Already there are hints that some unscrupulous elements who are cabals in the government have been ferrying loads of cash away from the state, capitalizing on the present lacuna.
Hopefully, when AKEREDOLU is fit enough to take back governance, he is at liberty to reconstitute his cabinet in its original form. However, for now, Lucky Ayedatiwa should take FULL CHARGE of the reins of Ondo State now!
