The Otun Olubadan of Ibadan, Rashidi Ladoja has dragged Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde; the Olubadan, Lekan Balogun, and his ten newly elevated beaded crown-wearing kings to court over the chieftaincy title.
According to reports Ladoja has approached the Oyo State High Court, to seek redress on the validity of the kingship titles conferred on the newly promoted chiefs.
Recall that on June 22, Governor Makinde approved the elevation of eleven chiefs and presented the Staff of Office to them last Friday.
According to the governor, he was opposed to the action but submitted to the dictates of the Olubadan who expressly demanded for the elevation of the chiefs.
