Ondo state government, has described the report credited to the national chairman of the All-Progressive Congress, Abdullahi Adamu, on the health of governor Rotimi Akeredolu, as wicked, mischievous and insensitive.
Recall that Adamu in a meeting between the national leadership of the party in Abuja, had stated that governor Akeredolu, was incapacitated and hospitalised abroad.
In a swift response, the state information and Orientation commissioner, Bamidele Ademola-Olateju, said the chairman was quotes out of context, insisting that Adamu never described the governor’s situation as a state of extreme incapacity.
Ademola-Olateju appealed to the public and media outlets to scrutinize statements and reports before putting it on public spaces to avoid misinformation and rumor peddling.
Ondo state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu had on Monday written to the state assembly, requesting for an extension of his medical leave as advised by his doctor.
