Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his emergence as Chairman of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

Tinubu was pronounced Chairman of ECOWAS at the 63rd Ordinary Session that took place in Bissau, Guinea-Bissau.

Describing the development as an affirmation of Nigeria’s leadership in the West African region, Sanwo-Olu expressed confidence that the President would lead the region in resolving economic challenges, sustainable development and issues of trans-border security.

The governor’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement issued and signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile.
