
Lagos state police command says its operatives have foiled an attempt by hoodlums to vandalize and steal oil at the nigerian national petroleum corporation (nnpc) pipeline.
The command’s spokesperson, sp benjamin hundeyin, in a statement said the incident happened around idimu area of the state, stating that the hoodlums unlawfully gained access into the site and were transporting oil from the pipeline into their tanker.
Hundeyin said operatives of the force stormed the scene, forcing the thieves to abandon their truck and tools.
He said the commissioner of police in the state, idowu owohunwa had also visited the scene of theft.
