Lagos Police Command Records 111 Sexual Abuse Related Cases In Two Months

Lagos State Command says a total of 111 cases of defilement were recorded between April and June, 2023.The command’s Spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the command was concerned about the increasing number of defilement cases in the state.According to Hundeyin, between April and June, 14 rape cases and 56 cases of domestic violence were recorded, while 99 suspects were charged to court.He further said 83 cases were currently under investigation, appealing to assist the force with prompt information on sexual abuse and related offenses.
