Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has approved the immediate dissolution of all state government commission boards.

The decision was announced in a statement issued by Dr. Kingsley Emu, the Secretary to the State Government.

Governor Oborevwori clarified that the dissolution does not apply to essential entities such as the Civil Service Commission, Judicial Service Commission, Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC), House of Assembly Service Commission, Local Government Service Commission, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), the Governing Councils of Educational Institutions, and the Delta State Board of Internal Revenue (DBIR).

The Governor directed all Chief Executive Officers of the affected commissions, parastatals, and agencies to seamlessly transition their responsibilities to the administrative heads in their respective offices.
