Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have continued their onslaught on drug trafficking with the latest interception of two imported consignments of Loud, a strain of cannabis, with a combined weight of 5,344.1kgs in Lagos.
The Director, Media and Advocacy of the anti-narcotic agency, Femi Babafemi said the consignment was captured along the Epe-Lekki corridor and at the Alfa Beach, Lekki area of Lagos State.
Babafemi said while the driver of the truck conveying the drugs along Epe-Lekki expressway jumped out of the vehicle and escaped, NDLEA operatives captured two Ghanaians who attempted to bring in the imported substance weighing 2,910kgs around Alfa Beach.
He added that the Agency’s men carried out similar feats in Kwara, Niger and Kogi States.
