Senegalese Opposition leader, Ousmane Sonko has filed a 170-page long complaint against president Macky Sall.
Sonko filed the suit in France for crimes against humanity allegedly committed between March 2021 and June 2023.
Sonko’s lawyer, Juan Branco broke down the accusations during a Press conference where he projected videos and photos, some of them containing distressing footage, allegedly showing Senegalese demonstrators getting killed or seriously injured during the deadly unrest earlier in June.
Sonko is demanding that Sall, Interior Minister Antoine Diome, military police chief Moussa Fall and 112 others be probed by the International Criminal Court for Crimes Against humanity.
