PETROL SUBSIDY : FG, LABOUR RESUME DIALOGUE
The leadership of the Trade Inion Congress TUC have arrived the presidential villa to resume talks with the federal government over steps to mitigate the effects associated with the withdrawal of fuel subsidy by the Tinubu administration.
The umbrella Labour body in the country NLC and TUC had after meeting with representatives of government at the State House, Abuja, a fortnight ago, suspended its planned nationwide indefinite strike action to protest last month’s withdrawal of fuel subsidy.
It is not clear if the NLC will be joining the meeting. As at the time of this report, there was no representative of the NLC at the meeting which had in attendance the chief of staff to the president Femi Gbajabiamila, Special advisers to the president on Revenue and Energy Group CEO NNPC, representatives of the regulators of the oil and gas sector among others
