Senator Godwill Akpabio has been elected President of the 10th Senate.
Akpabio, a former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs and former Governor of Akwa Ibom, polled 63 votes to defeat his only rival, Abdulaziz Yari who scored 46 votes.
