The Ibrahim Abdullahi led faction of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly has approved the request of Governor Abdullahi Sule for the appointment of 20 Special Advisers and has proceeded for a recess of one month.
Recall that Abdullahi, who was the immediate past speaker of the house emerged in a separate plenary held at the State’s Ministry for Local Government and got 11 votes from members-elect loyal to him while another Speaker, Daniel Ogazi scored 13 votes in the election which took place at the assembly complex on Tuesday.
But the Governor who said he had tried several times to resolve the crisis between the two Speakers got the approval from the Abdullahi led faction to appoint the 20 Special Advisers that would assist him in achieving his administration’s policies and programmes.
Shortly after, the Majority Leader, Mohammed Adamu-Omadefu moved a motion for the House to proceed on recess while Minority Leader, Musa Abubakar seconded the motion.
