The National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has overturned the purported expulsion of the former Executive Director (Projects) Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Cairo Ojougboh.
Ojougboh was suspended by the Chairman of the party in Ika South Local Government area of Delta State, Hilary Ibude in March following series of petitions and recommendations on his alleged anti-party activities.
At the time, Ojougboh dismissed his expulsion which he claimed, was orchestrated by Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, and some of the party’s executive committee members in Delta.
But the party’s National Legal Adviser, Ahmad El- Marzuq, said Ibude had no evidence to expel Ojougboh, saying his action was inappropriate because the crucial element of a fair hearing was not given to him to justify the resolution to expel him.
