APM’S PETITION FOR HEARING JUNE 2
The Presidential Election Petition Court has adjourned till Friday 2nd June to proceed with hearing of the petition of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) challenging the outcome of the 2023 Presidential Election.
This comes after Bola Tinubu through his lawyer, Wole Olanipekun, informed the Court that the Supreme Court decision of May 26 wherein the suit on Kashim Shettima’s double nomination was dismissed may well apply in the APM’s petition.
On this, APM’s lawyer, Shehu Abubakar, says he is yet to get a certified true copy of the judgment to know the appropriate action to take.
He therefore prayed the Court for adjournment of the hearing till Friday June 2 after having applied to the apex Court for copy of judgment.
The Presidential Election Petition Court therefore adjourned till 2nd May hearing of APM’s petition.
