At the CBN’s RT 200 event—- meaning Road to 200billion Revenue from the Non -oil Sector, the CBN governor Godwin Emefiele has lauded the actions of the government at making the Nigerian economy viable.

He noted that at the beginning of this administration, they was hardly any development in the fertilizer sector as Nigeria imported fertilizer but with the injection into companies like Indorama and Notore Nigeria now have a cumulative production of 3million tonnes.

He also lauded the growth of the Dangote refinery stating that initially skeptics antagonized the idea of a refinery arguing that it was only for sovereigns but when the company comes on stream on the 22nd of May it will definitely save Nigeria a lot of money.

He highlighted that disbursement of funds to the exporters had been slow but encouraged banks to do more to aid the non-Oil sector.
