Wishing Dutch football manager Clemens Westerhof a happy birthday (born 3 May 1940).

He is Nigerian most successful coach of all time. Clemens Westerhof worked in various football positions on the African continent before he became Nigeria’s manager in 1989.

Widely known for parading home based players into the Super amd and a no nonsense coach that the NFA feared.

Westerhof is most noted for his success with the Nigerian senior national team, the Super Eagles with Nations Cup bronze 1992, silver 1990 and gold 1994 also with Nigeria’s first ever World Cup finals appearance where they reached the second round, named the best entertaining team of the competition.

Nigeria was rated number 5 in the world by FIFA World rating.

Clemens Westerhof remains the best coach Nigeria ever had.
