Finally, there is some breakthrough for stranded Nigerians fleeing Sudan as the Egyptian Authourities have opened the border with stringent conditions.
Recall the Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama, said the Egyptian authorities had not opened its border with Sudan for 637 Nigerian students three days after their arrival as they insisted that they must all be formally cleared before they are allowed entry into the country.
He explained that the Federal Government might move the students to Port Sudan for evacuation if Egypt delayed further.
But, Chairperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, in a tweet confirmed that the Egyptian border had been opened with strict conditions following the intervention of President Muhammadu Buhari.
