Nigerians in Diaspora Commission has confirmed the movement of stranded Nigerians in Sudan from the country to Cairo, Egypt.
This was confirmed by the Chairman of the commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa where she explained that the students were being put on buses, according to their states of origin.
It was not yet clear the number of Nigerians that have moved so far, but the NiDCOM Chair added that two more busses from another location were now ready to also depart, emphasizing that the first set took off from International University for Africa.
Earlier, Chairman of Air peace, Allen Onyeama stated that airlifting of Nigerians out of Sudan will commence on Friday as soon as they arrive in Egypt.
