The Labour Party has raised alarm over an action taken by a factional chairman of the party, Lamidi Apapa, asking the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal to dismiss all cases by his party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, against the victory of Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress.

in a statement, Labour Party acting National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, urged the Tribunal in Abuja to disregard the antics by Apapa, who is a suspended Deputy National Chairman of the Party.

Calling on the police, the department of state services and the economic and financial crimes commission to arrest those he described as enemies of democracy, Ifoh said Apapa and his co-travellers are desperate to satisfy their pay masters who are bent on threatening Nigeria’s democracy.
