The Social Democratic Party in Oyo State has suspended its governorship candidate in the March 18 election, Michael Lana, and the party secretary, Idowu Owokoya, for alleged anti-party activities.

The letter for the suspension was addressed to the National headquarters in Abuja and was signed by the state chairman, Michael Okunlade.

The letter revealed that Lana was suspended from the party for anti-party activities while Owokoya was suspended for indiscipline and insubordination.

Recall that the party executive and its governorship candidate had a disagreement a few days to the election over who to collapse the structure of the SDP for between the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress in the state.
