Former Governor of Enugu State, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani has lost his Enugu East Senatorial bid to Labour Party candidate, Kelvin Chukwu.

Chukwu polled 69, 136 to beat Chimaroke of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who scored 48, 701 votes.

Chukwu is the younger brother of the former Labour Party Candidate, Oyibo Chukwu who was murdered a few days before the Feb. 25 presidential and National Assembly elections.

The death prompted the postponement of the elections from February 25th to March 18.
