Representatives-Elect Get Certificates of Return

The Independent National Electoral Commission has issued Certificates of Return to winners of the February 25, 2023 House of Representatives election in Nigeria.

The INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, presented the certificates to the members-elect at the National Collation Centre in Abuja.

Earlier, Yakubu said 423 legislative seats had been cleared, indicating that supplementary elections would be conducted in 46 other constituencies.

In terms of party representation, the INEC boss said the All-Progressives Congress won 162 seats, Peoples Democratic Party got 102 seats followed by Labour Party with 34seats.

The New Nigeria Peoples Party got 18 days, All Progressives Grand Alliance won four, African Democratic Party and Social Democratic Party won two seats each while Young Progressives Party won one.
