APC’s Tinubu wins Zamfara

THE candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has been declared the winner of the presidential election in Zamfara State.

The state collation officer, Professor Khashimov Shehu, announced the results in Gusau, the state capital, on Tuesday morning.

Tinubu garnered 298,396 votes to lead other contenders after winning 12 of the 14 local government areas in the state, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar, won two.

Atiku had 193,978 votes, while Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) scored 4,044. The Labour Party (LP) candidate, Peter Obi, got 1,660 votes.
