Operatives of the Anambra State Police Command have rescued 15 corps members who were abducted in Anambra State on their way to Lagos.
The State Police Spokesman, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga explained that the Corps Members had finished their three weeks of orientation programmes on february 14 and en route Lagos before their vehicle was intercepted at Ihiala, by yet unidentified armed men.
According to Ikenga, the armed men noticing they were being followed by Police operatives abandoned the corps members on the road and zoomed off with the bus conveying the Corpers.
He said the Corps Members have been debriefed by police operatives and necessary arrangements were perfected to convey them back to their destinations.
