The Zamfara State Government has ordered all Non-Governmental Organisations, NGOs, to leave the state over alleged illegal activities.
Commissioner for Security and Home Affairs Mamman Tsafe, in a statement issued on Tuesday noted that the majority of the NGOs have not registered with the state in line with the laid down rules and regulations of government.
He added that some of them had been found to be engaging in activities fueling insecurity in the state and its neighbourhood.
He, consequently asked Ministries and Departments of government to sever any relations with the NGOs.
