The Kwara State Police Command has lifted the temporary ban placed on gatherings and processions imposed on the people of the state four days ago.
A statement by the state Commissioner of Police, Paul Odama said that the temporary ban placed by the police on rallies and public processions has helped to maintain and foster peace in the state.
Recall that police placed a temporary ban on unlawful rallies, processions and protests to evaluate and assess the security situation in the state following an intelligence report indicating that hoodlums had planned to hijack rallies and processions in the state to cause chaos.
