As Nigerians continue to lament the impact of fuel scarcity, the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited says extreme measures are in place to contain the current situation.

Group Managing Director of NNPC Limited, Mele Kyari gave the assurance when the National Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) led some top members of the commission on a visit to the NNPC Limited office to seek collaboration for the success of the forthcoming general elections.

Kyari said with the efforts so far made, there is the hope that there will be significant relief, if not the elimination of the current situation within the next one week.

Recall that INEC recently expressed fears that the fuel scarcity may affect logistics for the 2023 elections.
