Two traditional rulers in Ikare-Akoko, Ondo State are on the edge of being banished by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu over incessant communal clashes.
Ondo Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Bamidele Ademola-Olateju said the monarchs, Owa-Ale of Iyometa, Ikare, Oba Adeleke Adegbite and the Olukare of Ikare, Oba Akadiri Momoh have been warned to comport themselves in line with the state government decisions.
The two communities have been at loggerheads over control of the town, leading to at least three curfews been imposed on the town within eight months.
The Commissioner added that the state government has relaxed the 24- hour curfew imposed on Ikare- Akoko, from 6pm to 6am.
