The leadership of the Action Alliance has distanced itself from the purported merger of the party with the All Progressives Congress, APC.

In a statement, National chairman of the party, Adekunle Omoaje, refuted the allegation of supporting the presidential candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, in the 2023 elections, adding that the party has no intention to work with any other party in any form in the coming elections.

In a claim, Amina Kilishi Lamido, Zonal Coordinator of the Major Hamzat Almustafa Presidential Council in the North West Zone had said that the AA campaign committee, leaders and members of the party had merged with the presidential campaign team of Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate.

But Omoaje described the development as mere rumour.
