Ekiti Assembly to commence scrutiny of 2023 budget on November 30

Ekiti State House of Assembly will on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, commence the scrutiny of the 2023 budget.

A statement issued in Ado Ekiti by the Chairman of the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Lateef Akanle, says government Ministries, Departments and Agencies are to appear before specific Committees of the House to defend their proposals.

The exercise will commence on Wednesday with the Ministry of Education and its allied agencies, Ministry of Investment, Trade and industries, Ministry of Youths and Sports, and the State Independent Electoral Commission.

Ministries of Health and Human Services and its allied agencies, Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Information and Value Orientation, and Due Process and SDGs will take their turn on Thursday, October 1, 2022.

All other Ministries and agencies are enjoined to attend the budget defence as contained in the schedule sent to them.
