The Nigeria Police Force has commenced a counter terrorism incident simulation exercise in response to security alerts by the US Embassy.
This was disclosed by Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, in response to an advisory by the United States.
Adejobi stressed that as part of measures to forestall terror attacks, the IGP directed the commencement of a counter terrorism exercise codenamed operation Darkin Gaggawa, urging the public not to panic at the sounds of explosives and gunshots during the exercise
Recall that an alert by the US Embassy warned that terrorists were targeting some locations in the nation’s capital, Abuja.
