Leading politicians in Nigeria including Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos and Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos, Olajide Adediran aka Jandor on Saturday attended the day of tributes for late Engr Mufutau Oseni, father of Broadcast Journalist, Rufai Oseni.
Engr Oseni passed on August 22, 2022.
In their tributes, Obi, Sanwo-Olu who was represented by the Commissioner of information, Gbenga Omotosho and Adediran all reflected on the life and times of the deceased and the impact he had on the Arise TV Host.
Speaking about his dad at the event, Oseni said, “my father was the centre of my world. I’m still grieving. I have not had a good night sleep since on the 22nd of August”.
“I decided to have a bit of tribute for my father because he was a man that loved life, love parts, a lot of dancing and poetry and loved to have a good time. He believed the essence of life is hope for a better day.”
He noted that his mental health had suffered as a result of the passing of his dad who he described as his best friend.
He also announced plans to institute a poetry award in honour of his father and build a learning hub for kids in honour of his parents.”
The event was attended by A former Chairman of Nigeria Legal Aid Council, Bolaji Ayorinde, SAN, President of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, Ken Opara, Music Icon, Alex O and Sahara Energy Chief Executive, Kola Adesina.
