Katsina State Police Command rescued nine trafficking victims in Daura.
The female victims were transferred to Katsina on Wednesday evening.
SP Gambo Isah verified the news Thursday morning.
He claimed the victims were rescued when police pounced on a grey area in town.
Isah stated that the victim’s driver fled when he saw authorities.

“During the inquiry, the victims said they were driven from Kano to Daura by a driver who abandoned them when he saw the police team.
They said they’re headed to Libya through Niger.
Isah said investigators were looking for the fleeing suspect.
