Police Arraign Five for Lynching of Uber Driver in Ondo

The Ondo Police Command have arraigned five suspected killers of a 25-year-old Uber driver, Temitope Olorunfemi, before an Akure Chief Magistrate Court, for murder and arson.

The suspects are Victor Amos, Ismalia, Pelumi Farotimi, Nurudeen Kumuyi, and Samuel Olatunji, charged on three counts of felony, unlawful murder and arson.

Police prosecutor, Inspector Nelson Akintimehin, said that the accused persons and others at large murdered the deceased in cold blood with sticks, stones and other offensive weapons and damaged a car before setting it ablaze.

The Chief Magistrate, Musa Al-Yunus, granted the requests of the defence lawyers to allow the accused file a counter affidafit before adjourning the case till Tomorrow for reply to the affidavit and ruling.
