Onje Gye-Wado, former deputy governor of Nasarawa state, has regained his freedom from captivity.
The former deputy governor was abducted on Thursday at his residence in Gwagi village, Wamba LGA of the state.
Gye-Wado was said to have been released on Sunday after the payment of N4 million ransom.
Ramhan Nansel, police public relations officer (PPRO) in Nasarawa, confirmed the release of Gye-Wado on MondayThe police spokesperson however said he is not aware if a ransom was paid before the former deputy governor was released.
