The Court of Appeal Abuja has set aside the decision of the Osun State Governorship tribunal, and affirmed Ademola Adeleke as Governor of the state.
There Court of Appeal dismissed the case of certificate forgery and over voting brought by the All Progressives Congress and its Candidate, Gboyega Oyetola in favour of Adeleke on the basis that there was no evidence to support the allegations.
The court upheld the issue of BVAS against Oyetola stating that the Osun state tribunal was wrong to have said there was over voting and only relying on the evidence by the Oyetola and APC, and as such doesn’t prove their case in.any way.
Recall that the Justice Tertsea Kume led tribunal had in a 2-1 decision initially upturned the victory of Adeleke on the basis that there was overvoting in some areas and proceeded to deduct votes.
