Spokesman to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Gboyega Akosile has clarified that his principal’s visit to founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, David Oyedepo, has nothing to do with politics.

Nigerians have been reacting to a picture of the governor and the cleric shared on social media with some claiming that the governor has been going from one church to another in a desperate bid to get votes ahead of Saturday’s election.

But Akosile dismissed the insinuations, noting that linking Sanwo-Olu’s visit to politics was absurd as he had always visited Oyedepo in times past when there was no election.

The Labour Party victory over the ruling All Progressives Congress during the Presidential Elections is believed to have prompted a more intense campaign from the incumbent frontrunners.
