The House of Representatives has appointed Isiaka Ayokunle Ibrahim as its new Deputy Chief Whip, following today’s plenary session resumption.
Speaker, Tajudeen Abbas announced that Ibrahim, who represents Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency of Ogun State under the All Progressives Congress (APC), will replace the late member, Adewunmi Onanuga.
Onanuga, who represented Ikenne, Sagamu, and Remo North Federal Constituency of Ogun State, passed away on January 15, 2024.
The Speaker expressed his best wishes to Ibrahim for a successful tenure in his new role.
