The House of Representatives has today urged the Federal Government to urgently deploy troops to troubled communities in Borno State where lives were lost recently and valuable property destroyed due to the attack by members of Boko Haram terrorist sect.
The resolution of the House followed the adoption of a motion of urgent public importance moved by the member representing Askira-Uba /Hawul Federal Constituency, Borno State, Midala Balami.
Speaking on the motion, Balami, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party informed the House of the recent attack by Boko Haram insurgents on Jibwuwhi, Yarkawa communities in Hawul Local Government Area of Borno which resulted in the tragic loss of lives, destruction of properties, and displacement of innocent residents.
He stated that these “Violent attacks have persisted despite ongoing security interventions, leaving communities vulnerable to repeated assaults, loss of livelihoods, and severe humanitarian crises.
