The Minister for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Zaphaniah Jisalo, has reaffirmed President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to strengthening the local government system for the nation’s overall progress.
Speaking at a sporting event organized by the Mandate Secretary for Youth Affairs in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Jisalo urged stakeholders to support grassroots sports development as a means of discovering young talents and curbing youth involvement in crime and social vices.
Special Adviser to the President on Youth and Sports, Anthony Adeyinka, pledged the administration’s dedication to youth empowerment. He highlighted various entrepreneurial programs designed to engage and uplift young Nigerians.
Mandate Secretary for Youth Affairs, Bitrus Garki, noted that the FCT youth appreciate Tinubu’s policies, which are fostering development in previously overlooked communities. He added that the football competition symbolizes the government’s efforts to integrate rural communities into governance and give them a voice.
The Zakari of Karu Chiefdom, Danfulani Narayi, commended the administration for building stronger communities in the FCT. He stressed that such competitions not only unite the youth but also encourage a sense of ownership in community development.
