The teacher caught on video assaulting a three-year-old pupil, Stella Nwadigo has pleaded not guilty to two charges at the Ogba Magistrate Court in Lagos.
The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency, in an update, reported that Magistrate M.O. Kusanu granted Nwadigo bail at N200,000 with two verifiable sureties.
She remains in custody pending bail conditions, with the trial set for January 18.
The incident came to light after a viral video showed Nwadigo repeatedly slapping young Abayomi Micheal at Christ-Mitots International School, Ikorodu.
The school has since suspended her indefinitely, describing her actions as contrary to their values.
